Ragusan merchants have been bringing salt to the port and because of this they have been harassed by the Venetians who claim that Venetian merchants have been granted to sell salt at that port. The grandvizier asks the bailo not to harass the Ragusans . The bailo is informed that a person to determine the trade rights at the port will be appointed by the Porte and by the Ragusans. The bailo is also asked to write to the Venetian dodge to have a man from Venetians side appointed for a commission.
